our mission

At Lifeway Church, we aim to ”Make Heaven Crowded” by helping our community love

God, find their purpose, and make a difference. We foster deep relationships with God,

guide individuals to discover their unique callings, and encourage them to serve others

and share the gospel. Through these efforts, we seek to expand God’s kingdom and

bring more people to Christ.

Our Values

Our Mission

Our Values

We aim to take a different approach in reaching the community. Through REAL and AUTHENTIC worship we stress cultural relevant life application and teaching that offers challenge.

Our Vision

Our Mission

Our Values

Our vision is simply to see growth in God's Kingdom by encouraging people to take action in personal growth. We want each and every person to get from where they are to where God wants them to be.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to love God, serve others, and share our personal story of how Christ has changed our lives. We encourage the application of these three steps in the daily life to take the gospel outside the church and spread it in the community.

our history

In September 1998, our founding Pastor, Glen, planned to go to South America to preach the gospel and start churches near the Amazon. However, God had other plans. Glen and his family stepped out in faith to plant a church in Cuero, not knowing how the Lord would make it all work for his family and the church.

Lifeway began as Chisholm Trail Baptist Church, which paid homage to one of the historical aspects of our town. In its early history, the church did everything it could to get going, even though it didn't have a building or financial stability. God blessed, and a different kind of church was established in Cuero. Lifeway has always aimed to be a church where we welcome the forgotten, the ones who have doubts, and who aren't perfect. Why? Because that's who Jesus called into a relationship with Him.

After meeting in Glen's house and several other temporary locations, we found our current home at 403 E Sarah St. The building (built in 1928) is known to many in Dewitt County as the first High School. It was also used as a middle school for years. Through many years of remodeling, we have resurrected a historical building in Cuero. We are blessed to worship, fellowship, and learn in this location.

What started with five people in the Pastor's living room has grown to several hundred between two services. Lifeway Church began a preschool 10 years ago that proudly offers Christian education and care to babies (6 weeks old) to 5th grade. Lifeway Baptist School has been a blessing to our community, parents, students, and our church. Currently, there are approximately 85 students enrolled.

We know that as good as God has been, He is not finished with Lifeway. God has been more than good to us. We are confident that Jesus will carry this work of His on to completion (Phil 1:6).

We invite you to experience a church focused on preaching the gospel, helping people discover their purpose, and making a difference in their world.

We invite you to help us - Make Heaven Crowded.

lifeway leaders

At Lifeway, we’ve designed a simple structure to maximize ministry and minimize division. Ephesians 4:11-12 shows us how God intended His churches to operate: with the people as ministers and pastors as leaders.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at webteam@lifewaycuero.tv if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our Sunday services are at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. During the summer months, we move to one service at 10:00 AM, with specific dates announced in advance. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to get comfortable and stop by our He-Brews coffee shop!

Parking is available around the perimeter of the city block surrounding the church, as well as in the lot across the street from the front of the building. Guest and handicap parking are available right up front.

Come as you are! Lifeway has a casual atmosphere, and you'll see everything from business casual to shorts and sandals on Sunday mornings. We want you to feel comfortable, so feel free to leave the tie or heels at home.

Our services begin with a time of worship followed by relevant, biblical teaching from one of our pastors.

Lifeway is a contemporary church with beliefs grounded in conservative biblical principles. Our preaching comes directly from the Bible and is intended to help people grow in their relationship with Christ and learn how to live more like Him.

You are our honored guest! Our hope is that you'll feel welcomed and valued from the moment you arrive and experience the Good News of Jesus Christ through the worship, message, and people.

We won't ask you to wear a visitor badge, stand to be introduced, donate, or volunteer. You can remain as anonymous as you'd like. If you'd like to connect with us, Connect Cards are available in the lobby, on the backs of the auditorium chairs, and online. You can use one to share your information or submit a prayer request.

Yes! We offer nursery services on Sunday mornings and during most other gatherings, as well as children's church during the Sunday morning service. Your children are a priority to us.

Yes. On your first visit to Children's Ministries, you'll complete a Guest Registration Form so we can contact you if your child needs you.

When checking in, you'll receive a two-part nametag. One sticker stays with your child and the other stays with you. You'll need your matching tag when picking up your child. Our children's ministry volunteers are also background checked.

No! There's more happening at Lifeway throughout the week and in our community. We have several small groups led by members of the church that provide opportunities to connect with others and grow deeper in your faith.

The first step is accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior and committing your life to following Him. The second step is baptism, making your declaration of faith public.

If you've taken those steps, the next step is attending our 101 Membership Class, where you'll learn more about Lifeway and what it means to become a member.
